Niagara night view & rainbow day! =)

alrite, to continue from miss chen's post... here are the night view of e falls with the beautiful lighting... we tried to capture all e different coloured lights which we tried in vain =( also tried countless attempts to take nice pictures but ermmm... here are the surviving ones. as u guys know, night mode requires a pro cam + stable hands, we had none, so we could only wait for zq's ones in his pro cam. hopefully those are nice, heh here are the preview =)

Day 3 @ niagara - Maid of e mist

Basically, this was a boat ride that brings us very near to the falls, to experience e water & e mist... but there were far too much water on my face tht i couldnt open my eyes abt 50% of e time, but the experience was way cool~! due to e wet conditions, we couldnt take many photos... here's one be4 our boat ride :)

in conclusion (i sound like im writing an essay hahaa), niagara is really pretty & its a highly recommended nature place to visit! its way cool (pun intended) & for those who likes rainbows, grab the chance! even roads are named rainbow blvd & stuff, lots and lotsa rainbow-ish stuff... okie i took like so super long to blog this entry, shall publish it be4 i forget all e details~ haaaa... stay tuned for more photos from zq's cam, ciao~~~

Day 1- NY + Day 2 - Niagara, Cave of e Winds

new york new york! its exactly wat i see in tv and movies. buildings n more buildings. cars. yellow cabs. honking. rubbish all arnd e streets. in fact i find NY quite a dirty city. n e pple here r not too friendly. n asians tk up lk almost 30% of e pple here. it's lk i c so many yellow skinned black hairs arnd. didnt get to cover much during our 1 day coz we wanted to tour aft work.

us in e m&m shop. we went crazy in there! not buying chocs but taking fotos!!! tis one was a rotating statue we had to wait our turn n capture e exact moment hee.

with e m&m statue of liberty!! didnt get to go to the real ting tis time round so we got a substitue!

can u guess who is who? hee. shdnt b diff lar. but tis is damn spastic. i bet e person who took it for us muz have laffed at us. but we couldnt even c. n we didnt even noe whether e pic was taken already not. but i totally heart tis!!

n of coz, we all heart NY.

across e road in e hershey's shop. juz look at e huge bar of choc. it's real ok! i bet whoever eats that will die. lk really die lor.

at soho. it's a v v v upmarket place. super high end. all e most branded brands are here. there r many shops by local designers too. n their prods, even e v basic kind all starts with 3 digits. how to buy tings??!??

we even had trouble finding food to eat coz everyting looked so expensive. so in e end we settled for indian food (lk wth rt? come US eat indian food?!?!?!??) but e only reason we chose tis was coz they had 50% off lunch specials. so it was affordable. hahaas. e food turned out to b ok lar. their curry is made of tomatoes lor. can u imagine???

\us taking e subway to our hostel. e subway here is also a flat rate, same to philly. but it's slightly more ex. it's $2 per ride but we got e day pass which was $7. e subway is easy to navigate. everywhere is pretty accessible.

waiting to check in into e hostel. we stayed in jazz on e lenox. only cost us arnd $20 per person. it was in e harlem district (aka e blacks district). we didnt noe until we reached there lor. it's lk once we get off e subway we only c blacks. hahas. not that im racist or anyting lar. we wanted to book a hostel near there for our aft work but we changed our minds.

our room. it was for 12pple but e 12th person nv show up. there were 11 of us. n in e pic u c mr mao. everyone was really irritated n pissed off with him. he overheard us planning n wanted to tag along. wrong choice to let him come with us man. n guess wat we found in e rm?!?!??

RATSSSSS!!!!!! lk how disgusting! not that any of us saw e rats. but xianzhen said she heard ruffling of e plastic bags e whole nite. n in e morn. jesslyn n jingyi's food had holes in them. how yuckyyyyyyyy! n i didnt close my bag n left it on e floor too. n it was juz opp jesslyn's! disgustinggggggg!!!

on e way to niagara on day 2 we stopped by Corning Glass Musuem. nothing interesting. coz i wasnt interested. we didnt pay e admission fee but still managed to sneak in for a look. there were demo of how they blow n mould glass.

finally aft lk 8hrs of bus ride we reached!!!!! e bus ride was terrible! firstly, e bus stinkssss!! plus coz of mr mao we have odd no. so i ended up sitting with a stranger coz he refused to budge n sit with that guy. lk come on, no one wanted to sit with him. i had a choice of sitting with mr stranger or him n i chose e former. it was so boring on e bus. n e tour guide had really bad eng. that's wat u get for wat we paid i guess. anw tis is a pic of e sandels n ponchos we were given for wat u will c below.

e mist from e falls. there were lotsa seagulls lk wat u c in e background times 1 million. no kidding man. e place totally stinksss!!

with mr wong. getting splashed by e falls was a great experience. no photos though coz it was really wet. but i can tell u it's DAMN SHOIK!

juz look at e rainbow! it totally makes e painful journey there worth it.

we only had lk an hour n a half n we practically ran here n there to take pics. tis is in front of e horseshoe canadian falls. it's e biggest of e 3 n makes up 90% of water e falls supply.

there r still many pics in zhiqing's pro cam. he's using cannon D70. e one i was selling in e IT fair. more updates later. more fr miss xie too!

we're back

niagara was AWESOME!!! totally breathtaking. pics n updates soon! it's lk 3plus am n we still have to work whole day tml :( anw some pics from our last half day. we went to e beach! e plan was to go to e waterpark but u noe.. unforeseen circumstances forced us to change plans.

madnessssss!!

work has been INSANE!! n i really mean lk crazy. e pier is lk spore's chinatown during CNY!!! my god! there r so many events which brings lk all e pple in e world here! there r casino pple, soccer tornaments, picnics, marble comp n wat haf u. which equates to lotsa rowdy n impatient pple. had so many incidents, stories, adventures on our rides. n as if we dun get enuff shit from e guests, yday they put me to work with tis new gal from russian n she lk can speak 1% of eng. i had such a hard time communicating with her that i totally gave up. anw not lk there was time to chitchat which was gd. but i had to lk explain everyting lk 100times n she still dun get it!!!!!!!!

anw goin for our v needed 3days retreat to NY n niagara! cant wait soooooo excited man!! ohh n we shifted hse! was smoother den i tot. but now it's lk more quiet n dead arnd coz we're all separated into small apartments so dun get to c e rest. oh well, it's juz anothter 2 more wks! i cant believe it's endingggggg!! *sobsob*

boring days

past few off days have been spent slacking arnd, going to e pier and nearby rio grande. trying to save up for e niagara trip nxt wk. e washington trip e wk aft n end of work travelling. n no matter how i budget, there's lk not enuff money to go arnd. boohoo!

miss chua me n huijing. hj got sent home early so we grabbed her to tk rides with us. atmosfear is damn shiok lar. it's tis ride that rises v slowly den drops to e ground in lk 0.5sec. damn shiok. took 2 rollar coasters too. not too enjoyable. e first one, sea serpent was too short for me to really feel anyting. lk before u noe it it's over kind. it goes forward den backwards. e other one, great white, was much better. it's a wooden rollar coaster, doesnt turn upside down but was super jerky. there's one last one at e third pier which i still dun dare to challenge. it's e kind with legs hanging out 1. gross! ohh n we rented bikes from our frens wanted to explore town but e weather ruined our plans. boo! but still managed to cycle abit to e supermarket n bank.

tis was another day which we got sent home coz e piers r currently over-staffed. there's lk ALOT of staff now working at e pier that i tink we'll b out of job real soon. they r sending pple home and cutting our hours :( no money!! miss chua is still nursing her swollen achillies so she didnt join us.

today we went to walmart. lk finally it's open! n aft studying so much abt it we finally experience it ourselves. i rem we learnt that e staff r supposed to smile when a customer is lk within duno how many metres. but we didnt receive such treatment. overall walmart was pretty boring lar. nothin quite too interesting. e stuff there... ok cheap lar. some r cheaper some r not lor. managed to buy a pair of levis today too. v gd buy :)

ate jap food today. had jap food craving since e first few wks here. e serving was HUGE i had to pack lk half of my food back lor. n it's not i auntie ok. it's e waiter who asked whether i wana pack wat. n it was meant for poor miss chua who had to stay home on her off day ok! im nice!

we saw tis in walmart. e first person who can guess wat it is will get a mystery prize from miss xie :) im serious! quickquick!
